Breast Augmentation

It is indicated in cases of breast hypoplasia or anisomastia and the most common method is the use of silicone implants. The most common areas where the implants are placed are the submammary fold or around the nipple. The implant comes in various sizes, textures and shapes and is personalised as a result of measurements and the patient's wishes.

The location of the implant can be either subglandular (under the mammary gland) or submuscular (under the pectoralis major muscle). An increase in breast volume can also be achieved by injecting fat after liposuction from patinet's own body. The patient is required to wear a sports bra for 3 months for recovery.

Postoperative pain is mild and controlled with appropriate painkillers. Find out about the technique that suits you and the cost of the procedure with a consultation in our office.

Breast Lift - Mastopexy

Image
Mastopexy is a breast surgical technique where the excess skin is removed with appropriate techniques and the mammary gland is fixed at the desired location. It is indicated for women who have lost breast volume especially after breastfeeding. It can also be combined with breast augmentation.

The lifting technique depends on the size of the breast. In most of the cases incisions are similar to breast reduction, that means around and vertical to areolar. For the recovery the patient is required to wear a sports bra for 3 months. Find out with a consultation in our office about the technique that suits you and the cost of the procedure.

Breast Reduction Mammoplasty

There are several cases of patients complaining about the large size of their breasts which often results in back pain and difficulty in their daily activities, even with suitable clothing. In these cases of megalomastia or gigantomastia, breast size reduction is suggested. This involves a combination of skin, fat tissue and mammary gland removal. Specific techniques achieve both volume reduction and simultaneous breast lift.

Incisions are made around and under the nipple and along the inframammary fold. The operation is performed under general anaesthesia and lasts approximately 3 hours. The patient is required to wear a sports bra for 3 months for recovery. Pain is controlled with appropriate painkillers.

Gynecomastia

Image
Gynecomastia is the excessive growth of the mammary gland beyond normal limits. It affects a large proportion of adolescents and older men. When there is only an increase in adipose tissue with normal breast gland is referred to as pseudo gynecomastia. In most cases it is due to disturbances in estrogen and testosterone levels. In a significant number it regresses automatically by the age of 18 without the need for any intervention.

In situations where another factor such as obesity, medication or even a neoplasm is responsible, the cause must be treated first. In other cases, it can be significantly reduced with appropriate techniques such as liposuction or partial resection of the mammary gland. Surgical treatment can be performed under local or general anaesthesia.

The patient is required to wear a pressure vest for about 3 months for recovery. Postoperative pain is mild and controlled with appropriate painkillers. Find out with a consultation in our office about the technique that suits you and the cost of the procedure.
